Thevissha Naidu, a remarkable 4-year-old prodigy, has achieved yet another outstanding feat by becoming the youngest Malaysian child to name most of the world leaders’ names in just 3.46 minutes. Her accomplishment has earned her a place in five prestigious record books: the Amazing Malaysian Book of Records, The British World Records, Asian World Records, Champions Book of World Records, and the Official World Record Council. In her impressive demonstration, Thevissha listed a total of 100 leaders’ names. Notably, for the Official World Record Council, her timing stood at 4.16 minutes.

On April 25, 2024, Thevissha had the honor of meeting the Honourable Youth & Sports Minister, Madam YB Hannah Yeoh, who personally presented her with the awards at her office. This extraordinary achievement at such a young age is truly remarkable. Currently attending preschool at SJKT Bandar Sri Sendayan, Thevissha’s parents, YH Dato Vignesvaran and YH Datin Shamala Muniandy, are filled with pride at their daughter’s remarkable accomplishments.

Thevissha’s mother first noticed her daughter’s talent at the age of three. During their drives together, she enjoyed teaching Thevissha and engaging in learning activities. It was during these moments that her mother began introducing her to the names of the planets, one by one. One day, Shamala was astonished to discover that Thevissha could effortlessly recite all the planets in a single sequence. This realization marked the beginning of Thevissha’s journey as a memory athlete. Typically, she can memorize anywhere from five to ten names in a day. This illustrates the extraordinary talent and exceptional memory power inherent in Thevissha. Thevissha’s ability to effortlessly memorize the names of the planets at such a young age serves as a striking example of her innate talent.

Thevissha’s diverse range of interests and talents paints a vibrant picture of her young and dynamic personality. Alongside her remarkable memory abilities, she also harbors a deep passion for writing and drawing, evident in her penchant for carrying a book and pencil wherever she goes. Whether it’s during her leisure time or playtime, Thevissha’s dedication to her artistic pursuits remains unwavering. Furthermore, her early immersion into sports and strategic games, such as swimming and chess, at the tender age of four, showcases her enthusiasm for challenges and her willingness to explore new avenues of growth. Her academic prowess is equally impressive, with teachers commending her exceptional handwriting and advanced performance in class.

Beyond her academic and artistic endeavors, Thevissha’s linguistic proficiency is truly remarkable. At the age of four, she is already fluent in four languages—Malay, Tamil, English, and Mandarin—a feat that speaks volumes about her linguistic aptitude and cultural adaptability. Additionally, her ability to independently recognize and write numbers up to 100, master alphabets and phonics, highlights her innate curiosity and drive for self-improvement. In essence, Thevissha’s multifaceted talents and pursuits underscore her insatiable thirst for knowledge and her innate ability to excel across various domains.

Thevissha’s mother Datin Shamala said, in March 2023, Thevissha was chosen as a finalist in the Kids Got Talent Malaysia Competition, marking her as the youngest contestant to achieve such recognition. Subsequently, in April 2023, she made her mark in the Malaysia Book of Records by being recognized as the Fastest to Name All 51 Asian Countries & Territories by a Pre-Schooler, accomplishing this feat in an impressive 38.11 seconds. Shortly after, she gained international acclaim by securing a place in the International Book of Records for the Fastest Recitation of All European Countries’ Names by a Kid.

Continuing her streak of victories, Thevissha emerged as the victor in the Kids Got Talent Malaysia Final, solidifying her status as the Memory Athlete Champion Nationwide. Her talent and achievements caught the attention of a global audience, leading to her selection for the American Got Talent Audition. In June 2023, she attained the esteemed title of Grand Master in the Netaji World Records.

Adding to her illustrious accolades, Thevissha received the Asia’s Young Child Achiever Award by Asia, powered by World Congress, in December 2023. The prestigious award ceremony took place in India on December 3rd, 2023. Furthermore, she showcased her exceptional abilities by advancing to Round 1 of the Asia Talent Search 2024 as the youngest candidate. Through her remarkable accomplishments, Thevissha has not only distinguished herself as a prodigious talent but has also garnered widespread recognition on both national and international platforms.

Upon witnessing Thevissha Naidu’s exceptional performance and talent at the tender age of 4, YB Hannah Yeoh was thoroughly impressed. Thevissha’s remarkable achievements at such a young age left YB Hannah Yeoh mesmerized, with the minister acknowledging that she herself couldn’t have accomplished such feats. Madam YB Hannah Yeoh expressed pride in Thevissha’s accomplishments and commended her for her remarkable abilities.

When asked about her daughter’s achievements, Thevissha’s mother expressed profound gratitude, stating, “As Thevissha’s parents, we feel incredibly blessed to have her in our lives. She is our miracle baby, as she was born after 7 years of marriage and following 9 miscarriages. Her presence has brought immense happiness into our lives, and we couldn’t be prouder as her parents. Despite facing criticism and experiencing ups and downs along the way, we have chosen to focus on the positivity. Today, she stands as a source of pride for our Indian community and our nation.”

Thevissha Naidu’s extraordinary journey as a prodigious talent has captivated hearts and minds both locally and internationally. From her remarkable memory prowess to her diverse range of interests and achievements across various domains, Thevissha exemplifies resilience, dedication, and innate talent. Her unwavering determination, supported by the unwavering pride and gratitude of her parents, serves as an inspiration to all. As she continues to break boundaries and defy expectations at such a tender age, Thevissha stands as a shining beacon of hope and possibility for the young generation of the nation.
