According to Fadhlina Sidek, the Education Ministry takes seriously the rise in occurrences of rape involving juveniles in recent years.

As part of its preventive measures, the Ministry of Education collaborated with the Ministries of Women, Family, and Community Development and the Prime Minister’s Department (Law and Institutional Reform) to carry out advocacy related to sexual harassment. This was stated by the Minister of Education.

She focused on enhancing training, emphasizing the need to advocate for all teachers, and the standards for handling sexual harassment in educational institutions among other actions.”At the school level, we reiterate policies, procedures, complaints, and necessary steps that must be implemented as soon as instructors become aware of events involving sexual harassment.

She included improving training, emphasizing the need to advocate teachers, and the standards for handling sexual harassment in educational institutions as among other actions.”We reiterate the anti-sexual harassment policies, procedures, complaints, and actions that need to be taken at the school level as soon as instructors become aware of any incidents.

“To guarantee the safety of the family, I believe that a commitment from all parties, especially the parents, is essential. When questioned by reporters here on Tuesday, May 7, she stated, “The family must be safe first, then at the school level we will usually be the place to get those complaints.”

Hence, according to Fadhlina, school-based preparedness is essential, particularly when it comes to training teachers and raising awareness among them in addition to refusing to compromise on the problem and the guilty parties.
