Bukit Nanas, Raja Chulan, Imbi, and Bukit Bintang were temporarily closed for cleaning and repairs after an uprooted tree smashed into the monorail track yesterday.

In a statement released on Tuesday night, Rapid Rail Sdn Bhd (Rapid Rail) stated that the service provider would start implementing plans for substitute services to allow commuters to continue traveling to their destinations commencing on Wednesday, May 8, at 6 a.m.

According to the statement, “four monorail stations will be closed to the public as a result of the need to shut down the power supply to enable workers to complete the cleaning process.”

According to the announcement, passengers and commuters can continue their journey via the Rapid Bus Sdn Bhd (Rapid Bus) shuttle, which will be available for free, and commuters can travel between impacted stations.

In order to get to their destinations, Rapid Rail also advised passengers impacted by the unplanned incident to consider using other forms of transportation.

Rapid Rail apologized for any disruption and suggested passengers to use other services in the interim in a statement.30 DBKL employees from four departments, including traffic wardens, its rescue squad, and Urban Transport, were mobilized to the scene and helped the traffic police and Fire and Rescue Department personnel, according to a statement made earlier by the DBKL Kuala Lumpur Command and Control Centre (KLCCC).

Rapid Rail apologized for any inconvenience and advised passengers to use alternate services in the meantime.

According to a statement released earlier by the DBKL Kuala Lumpur Command and Control Centre (KLCCC), 30 DBKL employees from four departments—traffic wardens, its rescue squad, and Urban Transport—were mobilized to the scene and assisted the traffic police and Fire and Rescue Department personnel.
