The Batu Caves Indian Cultural Hall is nearing its final stages of completion, with Tan Seri R. Nadarajah, the chairman of the Sri Maha Mariamman temple, confirming that it is set to be finalised within the next three months. Speaking on behalf of the temple, Nadarajah emphasised the importance of preserving and promoting Indian arts, culture, and traditions for the future generations.
He underscored the temple’s commitment to nurturing and safeguarding these cultural elements, which served as the driving force behind the construction of the cultural hall at Batu Caves. With approximately 80% of the construction already completed, the project is swiftly progressing towards its completion.
Nadarajah expressed gratitude towards the Indian High Commissioner, B. N. Reddy, who generously donated classical Indian instruments to the cultural hall in support of its mission. This collaboration highlights a shared dedication to preserving and celebrating Indian heritage.
Looking ahead, Nadarajah affirmed that the temple committee and the Indian High Commission will continue to collaborate closely on initiatives related to Indian culture and tradition. Their partnership reflects a mutual commitment to upholding and perpetuating the rich cultural heritage of the Indian community.
