Kollywood director Gautham Vasudev Menon is reportedly set to make his Malayalam cinema debut. The celebrated director is speculated to be collaborating with legendary Malayali actor Mammootty for an upcoming film. This project will be produced under Mammootty’s own banner, Mammootty Kampany, which has previously backed notable films such as Nanpakal Nerathu Mayakkam, Kaathal: The Core, and Kannur Squad.
The potential partnership between GVM and Mammootty has generated significant buzz, given the impressive track record of both artists. GVM is known for his impactful storytelling and nuanced direction in Tamil cinema, while Mammootty’s extensive and versatile body of work has earned him a revered place in Indian cinema.
Adding to the excitement, sources have revealed that actress Nayanthara will also be starring in this project alongside Mammootty. This casting news has heightened anticipation, as the two actors were last seen together in the Malayalam thriller Puthiya Niyamam, directed by A.K. Sajan. Their on-screen chemistry was widely appreciated, and fans are eager to see them reunite.
