In order to improve its clients’ accessibility and convenience when traveling domestically, Batik Air has extended exceptional discounts.

The airline announced a ticket guarantee campaign for all domestic routes through May 31.

This demonstrates the high demand for travel throughout Malaysia, according to Batik Air CEO Datuk Chandran Rama Muthy.”We are delighted to fly our guests to their preferred destinations with guaranteed fixed fares,” he stated in a statement.

According to data released by the Department of Statistics Malaysia in March of this year, domestic tourism increased 16.1% in the fourth quarter of 2023 compared to the same period in 2022, with a total of 54.3 million tourists.

Thus, according to Batik Air, the program is a component of their attempt to inspire tourists to visit domestic locations, which would eventually lead to an increase in domestic travel.

Alongside the promotion, it stated that travelers who choose the Economy “Super Saver” fare on Batik Air now have the opportunity to purchase only the essentials for their trip at the lowest baggage fee at the time of booking thanks to the airline’s recently launched “Zero Check-In Baggage” option.

According to Chandran, travelers are now favoring sustainable solutions more and more, selecting lodging and activities that lessen their carbon footprint. As more tourists prioritize eco-friendly activities and destinations, this trend is predicted to continue.

“This year, we’ve seen a rise in wellness and sustainability travel. We are thus gearing up to accommodate these changing preferences, with a focus on adaptability and agility,” he added.
