Director Raghava Lawrence was supposed to make his Bollywood debut with the remake of his 2011 summer blockbuster horror comedy Kanchana.
Laxmmi bomb has Akshay Kumar starring as the main lead and Kiara Advani as his pair.
However two weeks back, the director has announced that he’s quitting the project.

Raghava Lawrence said that he was not given the respect he deserves and even the first look was released without his consent.
He went on to say that he values self respect more than anything announced to quit.
Now that is self respect to another level. When someone crosses your boundary, the right thing to do is to respect your boundary and act in accordance to that!
Few days back he had informed of the production house coming to Chennai to discuss with him and that he’ll make final decision based on how they treat him.
The director made it official that he’s set to direct Laxmmi Bomb, indicating that the talks went positively and thanked Akshay Kumar and producer Shabinaa Khan for the support.
We should hear more stories like this. You can only achieve professionalism once you have learn to shut the ego in you!
