There were recent rumors that versatile actor Sathyaraj might play Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his biography. However, Sathyaraj rejected the news and stated that he had been approached for the role. The actor further added that individuals propagate random stuff on social media and that he was surprised by the reports.
In an interview with Minnambalam, Sathyaraj stated that no one had asked him for such a job and dismissed the rumors as just social media gossip.
Sathyaraj further mentioned that no one sought him to play Modi’s character. He also indicated that if the producers approached him, he would decline to perform the role.He claimed that such a film is not consistent with his worldview.
Sathyaraj, who is known for his ardent support of Periyarist views, stated that he would not appear in a film that contradicted his convictions.Many of his followers were perplexed by his stance in response to the rumors.
Sathyaraj is a well-known, veteran actor in the Tamil cinema industry. He also rose to stardom in Telugu after the release of films like “Mirchi” and “Baahubali”. He got well-known throughout India after playing Kattappa in the film “Baahubali”.
Currently, Sathyaraj is preparing to release his flick ‘Weapon.’He will supposedly play a superhuman in the film.The film, which also stars Rajiv Menon and Vasanth Ravi, will open in theaters on May 23.
