Manulife Insurance Berhad (Manulife Malaysia), a leading health insurance provider, has just launched a latest addition to their health solutions – Manulife MediShield. Manulife MediShield is an innovative life and medical insurance plan designed specifically for the Gen-Z population as the product aims to provide accessible coverage to the mass market’s young adults through a simple enrolment process and affordable premiums, ensuring financial security from an early stage of life.

The Gen-Z generation is now beginning their careers, making it crucial to secure both their financial and physical well-being. Manulife MediShield is designed to meet the specific needs of this group, offering an affordable solution with essential benefits. This serves as a solid foundation to help them build a brighter future.

Manulife MediShield offers premiums starting at just RM100 per month, making it an appealing choice for the Gen-Z demographic. The plan’s key benefits include coverage for death, Total and Permanent Disability (TPD), and medical expenses, such as pre- and post-hospitalization charges, intensive care services, surgical expenses, and outpatient benefits, all for a coverage period of 30 years.

A key highlight of Manulife MediShield is its affordability and flexibility. The plan offers unlimited lifetime medical coverage and automatically increases the annual limit by 10% each year, up to a maximum of 50%, irrespective of claims history.

Moreover, customers can benefit from up to a 40% No Claim Discount (NCD) on insurance charges for medical benefits. When a customer’s NCD reaches 40%, they become eligible for the First Dollar Benefit, which covers initial medical costs. This means that with a high NCD, the plan will handle upfront expenses, providing significant financial relief and making healthcare more accessible.

“As a trusted insurance provider, Manulife is committed to meeting the evolving needs of our customers at every stage of life. With the launch of Manulife MediShield, we aim to empower Gen-Z to take control of their financial future by providing them with affordable and comprehensive life and medical insurance coverage. The common reason of not having enough money or the impression that being single and non-dependent to anyone is something that is frequently heard by young adults. As life changes, Manulife MediShield can be an affordable approach to supporting your living expenses and loved ones financially,” said Vibha Coburn, CEO of Manulife Insurance Berhad.

Manulife MediShield has been introduced to the market to provide the Gen-Z generation with a valuable opportunity to begin saving and planning for a brighter future. This plan not only offers essential protection but also encourages young adults to develop a strong financial foundation early in their careers. By investing in Manulife MediShield, Gen-Z can secure both their health and financial well-being, paving the way for a more secure and prosperous future.
