Renowned actor Suriya has embarked on the shooting of his 44th film, under the direction of Karthik Subbaraj. This highly anticipated project, announced just last month, commenced filming on June 2nd amidst the picturesque backdrop of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. The creators of “Suriya 44” have generated excitement by unveiling the actor’s retro-themed first look, building anticipation among fans. The “First Shot” video has garnered positive feedback, heightening anticipation for the reveal of the film’s title and official first look.
Reports indicate that the filmmakers plan to unveil the title look on July 23, in celebration of actor Suriya’s birthday. Currently, the production team, including the cast and crew, is filming in the Andaman Islands. Following this, they will shoot a song sequence. The first schedule of filming is expected to wrap up by the end of July, after which the second schedule will commence in Chennai.
“Suriya 44” features a stellar cast including Suriya, Pooja Hegde, Jayaram, Joju George, and Karunakaran, among others. The music for this period romantic drama will be composed by Santhosh Narayanan. In other news, Suriya is set to appear on the big screen in Siva’s “Kanguva.” This epic period action drama also stars Disha Patani, Bobby Deol, DOP Nataraj, VTV Ganesh, and Redin Kingsley. The film is currently in post-production, with the VFX work scheduled to be completed by August. The release plan for “Kanguva” has yet to be announced by the filmmakers.
Additionally, the actor has his film “Suriya 43” with director Sudha Kongara lined up. Suriya’s upcoming projects have generated significant excitement among fans and the film industry alike. With the “Suriya 44” under Karthik Subbaraj’s direction progressing smoothly and its title look set to be unveiled on Suriya’s birthday, anticipation is at an all-time high.
