Arvind Swamy, a highly esteemed actor with a career in the South Indian film industry spanning over thirty years, recently filed a legal petition against the producers of the Tamil film “Bhaskar Oru Rascal.” He claims that he is owed Rs 35 lakh from his agreed-upon remuneration. In a previous hearing, the judge instructed the producers of the 2018 movie to pay Arvind Swamy the outstanding amount along with interest due to the delay. Despite this court order, the producers have not complied, leaving the case unresolved.
At the most recent hearing on June 17, the producer of “Bhaskar Oru Rascal” informed the court that he does not possess any property. In response, the judge issued a warrant against the producer for delaying the submission of his property details. The judge stated that the producer could avoid arrest by declaring bankruptcy if he indeed had no assets. The next hearing is set for July 8, and it remains uncertain whether Aravind Swami will receive his pending dues by then.
Yesterday, Arvind Swamy celebrated his 54th birthday, receiving a flood of well-wishes from the media, friends, and fans on social media. In celebration, Suriya, representing the producers of Arvind Swamy’s upcoming film “Meiyazhagan,” released a special poster featuring both him and Karthi. Arvind Swamy plays a significant role in “Meiyazhagan,” directed by Prem Kumar and produced by Jyotika and Suriya under the 2D Entertainment banner.
