With “Indian 2” set to hit theaters in just a few weeks, the filmmakers released the trailer for the Kamal Haasan-starrer yesterday. Directed by Shankar, this sequel to the 1996 film “Indian” stars Kamal Haasan, who reprises his role as Senapathy, the freedom fighter-turned-vigilante committed to fighting corruption.
The trailer is intense, showcasing Kamal Haasan’s versatility as he embodies multiple characters with remarkable skill. It begins by highlighting issues such as mismatches between job qualifications and pay, inadequate facilities despite tax payments, and delivers impactful dialogues with deep meanings. Siddharth’s character urges people to unite and instigate change from within. He reminisces about Senapathy, the iconic figure from “Indian,” known for confronting and eradicating injustice. The visuals offer glimpses of Kamal Haasan in diverse roles, demonstrating his exceptional ability to portray a range of characters in the film.
The gripping trailer has raised expectations significantly, especially with the inclusion of late legendary actors like Vivek, Nedumudi Venu, and Manobala.
