“Kottukkaali”, also known as “The Adamant Girl,” has received the special jury award in the main competition of the Transilvania International Film Festival (TIFF). Directed by PS Vinothraj and starring Soori and Anna Ben, the film made its global debut at the Berlin International Film Festival.
Anna Ben, set to make her Tamil debut with the film, attended the festival alongside the director PS Vinothraj and co-producer Kalai Arasu. Expressing her gratitude for the recognition, she remarked, “Romania is truly wonderful and made the experience unforgettable.” She noted that being an artist is filled with uncertainties since not every movie will be a hit, but successes like this bring them great happiness.
Sivakarthikeyan, one of the producers, shared his delight on the X platform about the film’s significant achievement.
He expressed, “This recognition means so much to me and our entire team. A huge thank you to the jury and everyone who supported us. Congratulations to my amazing team for achieving this feat.”
Even before its release, the film has set a high standard, highlighting its promising potential. The accolades garnered by “Kottukkaali,” known as “The Adamant Girl,” at the Transilvania International Film Festival and its earlier recognition at the Berlin International Film Festival underscore its promising trajectory in the cinematic world.
