Thalapathy Vijay Honours Tamil Nadu’s Top Students at Prestigious Student Awards Ceremony

Thalapathy Vijay, a Tamil actor-turned-politician known for his charity work, has previously indicated that he will honour Tamil Nadu’s top 10th and 12th grade students. As promised, Vijay visited with the student scholars in Chennai on Friday. Thiruvanmiyur in Chennai hosted the event on June 28. A second one is set for July 3.

Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam is organising its second annual ‘Education Award Ceremony’.As a political party leader, Vijay, the party president, gave his first speech to the students. The Leo star, was attired simply in white shirt and light-colored pants, walked onto the stage and said, “Humble greetings to my younger brothers and sisters who have achieved success in the recent tenth and twelfth general examinations, parents who came with pride, Anand and Thaveka who organised the function and the dear ones who live in my heart.”

In addition, he stressed the importance of reading newspapers and advised students to enroll in courses that interest them. Additionally, he pushed students to get involved in politics in order to improve society. He asked pupils not to use drugs as a way to end his address. More than 3500 parents and students attend the ceremony, and 750 of them are winners. President of Tamil Nadu Vettri Kazhagam Vijay thanked each student and gave them a certificate, shawl, and a Rs. 5,000 incentive.

An officer has been designated to manage the transportation of students from 21 districts to the town, covering all costs on behalf of the Tamil Nadu Vetri Kazhagam, so they can participate in the ceremony.

Vijay’s political party Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) announced on June 10 that the first event will take place at Thiruvanmiyur on June 28 where students who scored best marks in Ariyalur, Coimbatore, Dharmapuri, Dindigul, Erode, Kanniyakumari, Karur, Krishnagiri, Madurai, Namakkal, Nilgiris, Pudukottai, Ramanathapuram, Salem, Sivagangai, Tenkasi, Theni, Thuthukudi, Thirunelveli, Thiruppur and Virudhunagar will be honoured. The second event, which will include the remaining districts, is set for July 3.

Vijay will next be seen in The Greatest of All Time (GOAT). Thalapathy Vijay is reportedly set to play two parts in the movie: antagonist and protagonist. In addition to him, important roles are expected to be played by Prashanth, Prabhudheva, Sneha, Ajmal Ameer, Vaibhav, Laila, Mohan, Aravind Akash, and Ajay Raj. On September 5, 2024, the fast-paced action film will be released in theaters.
