Tanusya Manimuttu Enters Asia Book of Records for Delivering 101 Self-Written Speeches

Fifteen-year-old Tanusya Manimuttu from SMK Damansara Utama, Selangor, has achieved a remarkable feat by entering the prestigious Asia Book of Records. She holds the record for the Maximum Self-Written Speeches Delivered by a Teen, having delivered 101 speeches centered around the theme “Teachers are our Greatest Efforts”. Tanusya’s achievement at such a young age highlights her exceptional talent. In addition to excelling in academics, she has devoted time to honing her skills in public speaking. Her dedication and accomplishment serve as an inspiration to many.

On the morning of May 26, 2024, at Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Damansara Utama, Tanusya Manimuttu embarked on a remarkable endeavor: to set a new record in the Asia Book of Records. Beginning promptly at 8:00 AM, she commenced delivering a series of 101 speeches, each meticulously penned by herself. Supported by her teachers, who provided invaluable feedback through thorough proofreading, Tanusya’s speeches were a testament to her appreciation for educators and their profound influence.

Over the course of 2 hours, 49 minutes, and 54 milliseconds, Tanusya eloquently covered a variety of themes. Her topics ranged from “The Transformative Power of Education,” highlighting education’s profound impact, to “A Ripple Effect,” illustrating how teaching influences society beyond the classroom. She explored “Aspiring Teaching,” emphasizing the importance of inspiring future educators, and discussed “Impressive Guidance,” among other topics.

Tanusya also expressed heartfelt gratitude towards her school teachers and principal for their guidance and unwavering support throughout her journey. Her school principal, deeply impressed by Tanusya’s exceptional talent and extraordinary achievement, extended warm congratulations and praise. Tanusya’s accomplishment has brought immense pride to her school community. Witnessing their daughter’s achievement, Tanusya’s parents were overjoyed and filled with immense pride.

“Witnessing Tanusya achieve the Asia Book of Records at just 15 by delivering the maximum number of self-written speeches consecutively has been an incredibly proud and emotional experience for me as her mother.
