Anticipation is high as Kamal Haasan’s “Indian 2” hits theaters today. In an exciting development, director Shankar made a thrilling announcement about the film’s music tracks just yesterday. Shankar posted a picture on his X account with music directors Anirudh Ravichander and AR Rahman, confirming that some themes from the original “Indian” will be featured in the sequel, “Indian 2.”
This announcement has heightened the excitement surrounding the film. The original “Indian,” with its masterful and memorable soundtrack composed by AR Rahman, produced timeless hits that remain popular today. While AR Rahman composed the music for the 1996 film, Anirudh is responsible for the soundtrack of the sequel. Initially, many fans questioned why AR Rahman was not retained for “Indian 2,” and numerous comparisons were made between the songs from both albums. Fans expressed their disappointment in missing Rahman’s compositions in the sequel. However, the recent update from the director has provided some reassurance. This news has reignited enthusiasm among fans and raised expectations for the film even higher.
“Indian 2” also stars Siddharth, SJ Suryah, Rakul Preet Singh, Bobby Simha, Vivek, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Gulshan Grover, Samuthirakani, and Nedumudi Venu in significant roles. Kamal Haasan returns as Senapathy in this highly anticipated sequel directed by Shankar, which premieres globally today. In Malaysia, the film is being distributed by 3 Dot Movies and will be shown in 171 theaters, making it one of the biggest releases in the country.
