The Lokesh Cinematic Universe (LCU) has become a significant phenomenon in Kollywood following the success of director Lokesh Kanagaraj’s films “Kaithi,” “Master,” “Vikram,” and “Leo,” which all made a substantial impact at the box office. The director is now gearing up to collaborate with Karthi once again on “Kaithi 2,” with the actor recently confirming his involvement in the project. “Kaithi” was a blockbuster hit for Karthi, and fans are eagerly anticipating the sequel.
Glitz reported that “Kaithi 2” will feature an ensemble cast from the Lokesh Cinematic Universe (LCU), including Karthi as Dilli, Suriya as Rolex, and Kamal Haasan as Vikram, all coming together in the upcoming film. However, since Vijay has decided to retire from the entertainment industry after his last film “GOAT” and may not act in movies again, the makers plan to include only his voice in “Kaithi 2.”
In the climax of “Leo,” Vijay is seen speaking with Kamal Haasan. Similarly, it is anticipated that Vijay might lend his voice for “Kaithi 2” to maintain continuity for his character, Leo. Additionally, “Kaithi 2” is expected to unveil several other mysteries and plot twists from the LCU, keeping fans eagerly engaged and deepening the interconnected narratives of Lokesh Kanagaraj’s cinematic world.
Meanwhile, Lokesh is now gearing up to work on his upcoming film “Coolie,” which will be a standalone project featuring Superstar Rajinikanth in the lead role. The movie will also star Sathyaraj and Shruti Haasan in significant roles and revolves around the theme of gold smuggling. Fans will have to stay tuned for further updates on “Kaithi 2.”
