Siddharth, a prominent actor in Kollywood, has made a strong comeback in the film industry. His recent success with the film “Chiththa” has positioned him for a promising lineup of projects. Among these, he is preparing for his next venture tentatively titled “Siddharth 40,” which sees him teaming up with Sri Ganesh, acclaimed for his directorial work in “8 Thottakal.”
Shanthi Talkies, the production house behind the Sivakarthikeyan-starrer “Maaveeran” last year, revealed on Sunday exciting updates regarding their upcoming project, tentatively titled “Siddharth 40,” starring Siddharth. They announced the inclusion of Chaithra Achar, Meetha Raghunath, Devyani, and Sarath Kumar in key roles alongside Siddharth. The production team enthusiastically shared posters featuring each of these stars, marking their official entry into the film.
The iconic duo from “Suryavamsam,” Sarath Kumar and Devayani, is set to reunite after two decades. Although the specifics of their roles in the upcoming film have yet to be disclosed, it’s noteworthy that Devayani and Sarath Kumar previously shared the screen in several commercially successful movies during the late 1990s and early 2000s. Their collaborations in films like “Surya Vamsam” (1997), “Thenkasi Pattanam” (2002), and “Paattali” (1999) established them as a beloved on-screen pair. Their reunion promises to evoke nostalgia and anticipation among fans of their past performances together.
In addition to her role in “Siddharth 40,” Devayani is set to star in the upcoming Jayam Ravi film “Genie,” while Sarath Kumar has “Operation Raahat” and “Mr. X” lined up, alongside other projects. “Siddharth 40” is reportedly an emotional action drama, with filming expected to begin soon. Siddharth is anticipated to sport a new look for Sri Ganesh’s directorial venture, which might explain his recent appearance with long hair. As Siddharth prepares to delve into this new role with a fresh appearance, fans eagerly await the unfolding of this compelling narrative and the on-screen chemistry that promises to captivate audiences once again.
