Residents across the Klang Valley are experiencing unexpected water disruptions following the shutdown of four major water treatment plants due to odour pollution detected in Sungai Kundang and Sungai Sembah. The areas affected include Petaling, Klang, Shah Alam, Gombak, Kuala Lumpur, Hulu Selangor, and Kuala Selangor.

Air Selangor announced the temporary closure of the Rantau Panjang, Sungai Selangor Phase 1 (SSP1), Phase 2 (SSP2), and Phase 3 (SSP3) treatment plants. This action was necessary to address the pollution and ensure water safety. Read the notice here

In response to the disruption, Air Selangor is deploying water tankers to the affected areas, focusing on critical locations such as hospitals, clinics, and dialysis centers. This measure aims to mitigate the impact on essential services and provide relief to residents.

Air Selangor is committed to resolving the issue swiftly and minimizing inconvenience. The organization assures the public that efforts are underway to restore normal operations as soon as possible.

For more details, residents are encouraged to stay connected with Air Selangor’s updates and utilize the resources available for any immediate needs or queries.

Here are the effected areas, Find more informations in Air Selangor’s Website
