Actor Simbu was last seen on screen in Sundar C’s Vantha Rajavathaan Varuven.
He had already started shooting his political thriller Manaadu with director Venkat Prabhu. Priyadarshan’s daughter Kalyani Priyadarshan will be the female lead.
The actor has also done a cameo for Hansika Motwani’s 50th film that is titled as Maha. The film features Srikanth in the lead roles.
Simbu plays a crucial cameo, and is also part of a song.
Directed by U. R. Jameel, the film is produced by Mathi Azhagan under the production company Etcetera Entertainment.
The film’s music will be scored by Ghibran.
It was earlier revealed that actors Simbu and Gautham Karthik were roped in for a mega budget action thriller. The film is produced under the Studio Green Production, marking the first-time union of Simbu and Gautham.
Debutant Narthan who had worked on the original version is directing the Tamil version too.
The shoot has already started.
