‘Aram Sei Thozha’ To Initiate 100 Tablets for B40 Students

With the myriad of difficulties due to the COVID-19 crisis, it is essential to have organisations that will be determined to help our nation continue to thrive. Hence, in an effort to kick some much-needed positivity into the Malaysian Indian Community through education and empowerment of it’s students, an organisation namely Malaysia Indian Students Front (MISF) was launched last Saturday (20th March 2020).

For the first time in our Malaysian history, an organisation as such was established to initiate a solid platform to empower and connect Malaysian Indian student leaders from both, the Government, and Private Higher Education Institutions, across Malaysia. 

Moreover, this initiative also provides an opportunity and platform for the students to discuss several pillars of MISF which includes Education, Social Mobility, Studentpreneurship, and Political awareness.

The plight of the less privileged students from the B40 segment have not been forgotten  especially amid this pandemic, which has severely restricted the movement of people and activities. To address this immediate need, the Malaysian Indian Student Front (MISF) has simultaneously launched a fundraiser namely Aram Sei Thozha.

The “Aram Sei Thozha” (Your Help Can Bring Change) fund was launched with the presence of 40 students from 20 public and private institutions. The mission is to unite all Indian students nationwide to raise RM65,000 from the public to cater 100 units of electronic tablets for students in the B40 segment that have been deprived of their fundamental right to education due to lack of resources. 

Motto; ‘Your Rm10 Makes A Difference’.
