During these difficult and stressful times, charity is extremely important. In that regard, Astro Radio, in collaboration with Lotus Malaysia stores, extends the KamiCare Helpline from now until 8th August, 2021, to provide necessities to disadvantaged Malaysians.

Necessities provided in ‘KamiCare Kita Jaga Kita with Lotus’s Malaysia’ include rice, cooking oil, powdered milk, dried food, canned food, drinks, biscuits, disposable diapers and more.

How can you help?

  1. Purchase daily necessities at any Lotus’s Malaysia store nationwide and drop them off at the Charity Food Bins, which are located in all Lotus’s Malaysia stores. Lotus’ Malaysia, Food Aid Foundation, Kechara Soup Kitchen, and Lost Food Project will distribute all donated items to those in need.
  2. Malaysians can also choose to donate for ‘Kotak Prihatin,’ which are boxes filled with necessities such as rice, flour, sugar, salt, cooking oil, canned food, instant noodles, biscuits, disposable masks, and more. A box of 12 items costs RM50, while another type; box of 22 items, costs RM100. WhatsApp orders for ‘Kotak Prihatin’ can be placed at +6010 405 1513.

Kenny Ong, Chief Executive Officer of Astro Radio, said,

We received overwhelming response from the first phase of our KamiCare Helpline and now extend our campaign to accept donations from all Malaysians. Through this KamiCare Kita Jaga Kita with Lotus’s Malaysia drive, we hope to reach more Malaysians in need to contribute these necessities.

Let us work together to end our nation’s hunger. Only by working together to help the most vulnerable people affected by the pandemic will we be able to put an end to starvation.

So, if you are in a place to provide for and assist those in need, please step forward because you never know how much of a difference this will make.
