If you feel sad by stories of abandoned children and kids orphaned by the COVID-19 pandemic , you might be doing a google search for ‘orphanages near me’ or ‘donate to orphanages’ or ‘what can we donate to orphanages’.

As Deppavali is around the corner, Heavenly Child Home for the children feel the squeeze as donations have been drying up lately. A total number of 24 children come from a variety of backgrounds; and the majority are orphans, while some have been neglected by their parents.

Kanagendran, the administrator of Heavenly Child Home here, said funds have been running low. He has sleepless night worrying about funds for daily operations and expenses.

According to World of Buzz, during the pandemic, there were no donors and Kanagendran was the sole breadwinner for the home.

The children are looking forward to playing with fireworks and donning new outfits as Deepavali approaches. To ensure that they are not disappointed, a non-profit organisation (NGO) known as Medals For Awesomeness (M4A) has stepped up to collect funds in order for these lovely children to enjoy a beautiful. wonderful and memorable Deepavali full with lights.
