Could You Be Thennisai Thendral’s Very First Idol?

Have you been always interested in singing competitions? Since the birth of American Idol, singing competitions have been termed as a ‘reality show’ birthing many singers globally with some of the household names such as Kelly Clarkson and Adam Lambert. Hence, this could be a chance for you to get a little glimpse of stardom should you desire a singing career.  

You can show off your amazing voice and compete for recognition in Thennisai Thendral 1.0. The online singing competition is organised by Sekretariat Kesenian, Kebudayaan, dan Warisan India Malaysia (SEKWIM) of Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS). This is the first-ever virtual singing competition without any live stage performance. The contest is open to aspiring singers aged between 16-25.

There are four categories starting with the audition process and those given the golden ticket during audition would then proceed to round 1, round 2 and ultimately making their way to the final round of the singing competition. The top three in each division will be selected with cash prizes to be awarded to the winners of each preliminary. The eventual winner will take home RM300 in cash, and a RM100 voucher from KSK Collection.
