Malik Streams Corporation has continued it’s long-standing commitment to education through the eighth edition of it’s Back to School Program 2026, providing essential school supplies to 1,001 primary school students across multiple districts in Malaysia.

Originally announced in December 2025 and scheduled to take place on 11th January 2026, the initiative was initially planned to benefit 1,000 eligible students. However, due to overwhelming response and requests from schools and communities, the program was expanded to include all students pursuing primary education from Year One to Year Six, increasing the final number of beneficiaries.

Under the program, students receive essential items such as school uniforms, shoes, school bags, and other learning necessities, ensuring they are fully prepared for the new academic year. The contributions covered schools across Selangor, Kuala Lumpur, Kedah, and surrounding areas, including National-Type Tamil School (SJKT), national schools, religious institutions, and welfare homes.

According to the data released by Malik Streams Corporation, the initiative reached students from more than 30 schools and organizations, with the highest number of recipients coming from SJKT institutions, reflecting a focused effort to support underserved communities. In addition, assistance was extended to children from welfare organizations, orphanages, and individuals hardship cases, reinforcing the inclusive nature of the program.

The success of the 2026 edition was made possible through close collaboration with school principals, teachers, parents, Parent-Teacher Association (PIBG/PTA), non-governmental organizations, as well as staff from Malik Streams Corporation and MS Gold & Diamonds. The coordinated effort ensured that all supplies were distributed efficiently and reached the intended recipients.

As the program enters it’s eighth consecutive year, Malik Streams Corporation noted a steady increase in funding, allowing the number of beneficiaries to grow annually. The company expressed it’s intention to further scale the initiative in 2027, with plans to expand the program nationwide and reach even more students.

At the heart of the initiative is Dato’ Abdul Malik bin Dasthigeer, Chairman and Founder of Malik Group of Companies, whose personal journey continues to shape the program’s mission. Having grown up in Jalan Masjid India and pursued his education at St. John Institution, Kuala Lumpur, Dato’ Abdul Malik drew from his own experiences of hardship to ensure that no child begins the school year without proper preparation.

The core objective of the Back to School Program remains unchanged: to ensure that every child can attend school confidently, with dignity and complete necessities, fostering a positive mindset towards education. By removing barriers at the very start of the academic journey, the initiative aims to encourage students to remain focused, motivated, and hopeful about their future.

Malik Streams Corporation reaffirmed it’s belief that education plays a vital role in nation-building and that meaningful community initiatives can create lasting impact, one student at a time.
