The biggest gathering of Malaysian Indian wedding photographers and videographers is happening in under a week and we managed to catch a glimpse of the excitement of it all.
In a recent press conference held at Marimbar PJ, the organisers gave an exclusive insight into what was going to be happening at the Malaysian Indian Wedding Photographers & Videographers (MIWPV) Convention 2019. The convention will be hosting more than 200 wedding photography and videography professionals next weekend at Everly Hotel, Putrajaya.
The convention will be divided into 2 parts throughout the day, a series of talks from industry professionals followed by a gala dinner and awards night. Organised by Rising Stellar Sdn Bhd, the convention aims to educate and inspire budding photographers and videographers by celebrating their work and rewarding their efforts to artfully immortalise important moments for couples.
The MIWPV Convention is also the FIRST platform to hold a competition for the local Indian wedding scene. The competition has been met with over 1,000 entries and will be judged by a team of experts from Malaysia, Singapore, UK and India. The MIWPV Awards 2019 sees an assemblage of judges from across the world such as Subra Govinda (Subra Govinda Photography), Ajith Prasenan (Pixelena Studio), Anthony Barlan (Anthony Barlan Photography), Shana Mahendran (Black Magic Creations), Leonard Hon (Leonard Hon Signature) and JK Wicky (Ugly Duckling Studio).
Led by Kamalesan Kamalakaran, the MIWPV Convention has grown exponentially as since its inception in 2014. The MIWPV Convention 2019 will boast its largest gathering in its fifth instalment on 20 July 2019.
