Even though he had acted in a couple of films in minor roles, the late Chandrahasan will be seen playing the lead in Appathava Aataiya Potutanga, a comedy about two elders falling in love.
Now, that’s an interesting subject to talk about. It is so important to normalise taboo topics like this!
The film, directed by Stephen Rangarajan, was shot months before the producer-actor’s demise, but the director informs that Chandrahasan had managed to finish shooting and dubbing for his portions before he passed away.
He dubbed for the movie just before the jallikattu protests in January 2017. And in March the same year, he passed away.
The film has a bunch of senior actors, like Delhi Ganesh, Shanmugasundaram, Kathadi Ramamoorthy and Jaya Rao, playing Cupid to the romance between Chandrahasan and Sheila (the mother of actor Vikranth Santhosh).
