In light of Vijay Antony’s birthday, he released the first look poster of Pichaikkaran 2. Directed by Priya Krishnaswamy, the film will showcase music by Vijay produced by his own production house. The much awaited film will feature cinematography by Theni Eswar and art direction by K. Arusamy.
Vijay has also written the story, screenplay, and dialogues for Pichaikkaran 2, marking his debut as a writer. However, the rest of the cast is yet to be announced. The sequel will be dubbed in Telugu as Bitchagadu 2 and is expected to be released next year.

The blockbuster hit, Pichaikkaran depicts a story about a businessman Arul who masquerades under the identity of a homeless, to fulfil a religious offering to save his dying mother. The film received an overwhelming response from the audience and became the best masala film of 2016. On the professional front, Vijay has projects like Agni Siragugal, Khakiand Thamezharasan under his belt.
