Thus, Pathu Thala marks the reunion of director Krishna‘s Sillunu Oru Kadhal team, AR Rahman, and the Studio Green banner.

Even after Aamir Khan’s Ghajini (2008), AR Rahman has not composed for a remake whose original had music by another composer, Krishna reveals that after a narration, the Oscar-winner decided to come on board.

“I have made many changes to the original narrative. Rahman sir heard the narration and felt it was an interesting script,” Krishna reveals.

After Vinnaithaandi Varuvaaya and Achcham Yenbadhu Madamaiyada, Pathu Thala marks the third collaboration between AR Rahman and Simbu, it marks the composer’s second film after Kadal for Gautham.
