Movie buffs whom have been eagerly awaiting to watch movies on the big screen again have now been granted with full access to do so!

Malaysia’s leading renowned cinema, Golden Screen Cinemas (GSC) has officially announced to open their doors this 5th of March 2021, welcoming all cinephiles to a list of much awaited movies!

This could be the best ever news of the day! The movies that are scheduled to make an exclusive premier are:

  • Raya and The Last Dragon
  • Demon Slayer; Mugen Train
  • Doraemon 2; Stand By Me
  • Master
  • Monster Hunter
  • Endgame
  • Don’t Look Back
  • The Con-Heartist
  • Godzilla vs Kong.

Contemplation on opening the gates for cinemas have long been in order and was notably put on hold due to the high number of COVID-19 cases. Due to this, the movie industry has been severely hit and slopped tragically.

A recent news stated that, GSC would be buying over the majority of MBO assets. MBO was publicly claimed to be on the verge of insolvency due to cash flow issues stemming from the first Movement Control Order (MCO) imposed in March. MBO has cinemas in 27 locations around the country, but only four were operating during the former RMCO period.

With the view of the significant drop in COVID-19 cases recently, the country has been slowly emerging into the Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) with many industries allowed to resume business.

Hopefully all businesses in the country, would be able to bounce back and resume operations smoothly overcoming all hurdles brought by the Movement Control Order.
