Reopening the cinema after months of dusting was the ‘news’ every movie buff was waiting for. When the Movement Control Order (MCO) was enforced last year, there were many online platforms like Netflix and Amazon Prime that kept us alive with their latest movies.

Thanks to those online platforms but I can’t deny the fact that watching a movie in a theatre just calms my soul and I am sure many can relate to this!

Nothing beats the experience of watching a movie in the theatre where it originally birthed. In decades, for the very first time, cinema-goers were forced to stay home during the pandemic in order to keep themselves safe.

Hence, the usual norm of watching a favourite blockbuster came to an end, thus the eardrum-shattering sound system, the floor-to-ceiling movie screen, the sweetness of rich caramel popcorn, the audience and their reactions was all just a fine memory.

It was just a whole theatre experience that we have been missing out on all these months. It has finally come to an end.

Even though the law has eased to allow us to go to the movies, please keep in mind that the pandemic is far from over. With that, keep in mind to adhere to all of the government’s SOPs. Practice social distancing, wear a mask and make sure to sanitise your hands.

By the way, which movie have you watched on that list? Was it good? Let us know in the comment section below.
