Koovi Koovi Vikkura Caru, Roadu Mela Poguthu Paaru

This ‘kavithai’ is not a Standard 1 student’s attempt at poetry. Nope, it is a legitimate song, sung by Anirudh with music composed by Hip Hop Tamizha. The song is the first tune released from the upcoming Sivakarthikeyan-Nayanthara film, Mr Local.

Vaayen Onna Sernthu Povom, Oru Dating-meeting,

Vaaya Konja Konaya, Vechi Selfie Edukatta?

The lyrics to this poetic masterpiece were penned by Mirchi Vijay. He is a television anchor and actor.

Paren En Kannula Kadhala, Thayen Oru Mutham Onnu,

Ok Dhaan Neeyum Sonna, Husband Agatta?

Of course, the Tamil audience is least bothered about the undertone of harassment that comes with the song. The lyrical video on YouTube has fetched a whopping 2.4 million views in 3 short days. Speaks volumes, doesn’t it?
