Westcoast hiphop legend introduced this 🇲🇾 macha's new music @losangelesconfidential 👑 . I remember getting the DM reply with Gerard and Navin after submitting an English rap song I recorded in June with thambi @shotadathiow about our community in Malaysia & the song got picked for his mixtape series. I remember how much of lessons I've learned in my journey to be recognized by one of the greatest Westcoast OG / rapper in the world and I remember why I do this in the first place: my family ❤️ . The song 'Lucky' drops on The Game mixtape series. Available on Spotify next week. Y'all can hear Ahead Of The Game mixtape & all the artistes chosen from around the world on most hiphop mixtapes sites now 🙏 . This moment is for my OGs, family & friends. #balankash #shotadathiow #thegame #aheadofthegame #thirdeyemusicMY #roshomusic #klang #malaysianhiphop #machamagic #balankashmirADVERTISEMENT

He shared his story of achievement to the World of Buzz and here are a few insights; Balan grabbed this opportunity when Jayceon Terrell Taylor (The Game) as we know of him posted an Instagram story calling budding talents to direct message their videos and released songs to him on his Insta handle.
Balan, thus, sent him two of his videos, they are “Start that Thiruvizha” and “Got it goin’ on”, and after a month he received a reply from The Game and went on to submit his songs for The game’s mixtape series. “That’s how this whole journey started,” Balan said.
Balan further said that his song, Lucky, which got selected is just as good as others think it is and has a unique message behind it.
“I recorded the song after the composer, Sho, gave me the beat. The track is about the double-edged sword mindset of the Indian society and the chaos inside. It also expresses the telegram groups that emerged recently. I decided that this is far more necessary than submitting a party or radio record. We were talking about that particular content, though it wasn’t to criticise my culture, but to engage with the things that have been going on and have happened. Nobody else was doing it, most of us were producing fun and radio records, “he added.
Lucky’s official music video is currently in production for a November release. Yet, next week you can check out the single on The Game’s mixtape, ‘Ahead Of The Game’ on Spotify!
As lucky as it may sound, this talented rapper not only got featured in The Game’s mixtape but also on Dablock365’s official Spotify account, Datpiff, SoundCloud and many other universally known mixtape sites!
“Feels good. I made my country, family and Malaysian hip hop proud. Not every day does a ‘macha’ get an opportunity like this plus it was an English song. Let’s hope more doors open, radios and media will start playing more Malaysian music and as a nation, we can uplift each other. Not complain and live by stereotypes. Not every macha wants to rob you. Don’t stop believing in your dreams. You never know who might be listening and what may unfold.” Balan concluded.
You have without a doubt made us proud Balan! Well done, we wish you more international success and recognition. To have your work appreciated and acknowledged by a big-time rapper such as The Game is indeed an achievement.
