Isaignani Ilaiyaraaja’s song will be heard in outer space for the first time in the history of music and the universe, owing to a trailblazing initiative of a Tamil Nadu team of space aspirants, as the music master would be controlling the cosmos via his spirit and legacy.

The legendary music director will be pioneering the efforts of a space team and his song will be orbiting in outer space in a satellite. A Tamil Nadu based team of space aspirants has developed one of the world’s smallest satellites, which is to be launched with the help of NASA. Ilaiyaraaja’s music will fly to space in a satellite and be performed there, and if it is successful, it will be immortalised as the maestro’s legacy.
According to Time News, the musician has composed a special song that will be played in space and the team has been working on the remarkable project. The team which comprises students has decided to launch the satellite during this year’s Indian Independence Day and give an oomph to their journey. Hence, the song will be played on the satellite and they have decided to pioneer the song-satellite to highlight the heritage and pride of India to the world.
Penned by Swanand Kirkire in Hindi, the song was composed and sung by Ilaiyaraaja himself. As the song and efforts are going to highlight the Indian heritage in outer space, the reports stated that the maestro didn’t take any reward or money for composing the song.
