A new deleted scene from Tamizh Padam 2 has just dropped on YouTube. For those who aren’t familiar, Tamizh Padam (translates to Tamil Movie) and Tamizh Padam 2, is a spoof on the Mass-Masala genre. In this hilarious deleted footage, we see our hero, Shiva (played by Shiva), in the villain’s house. He then snaps his fingers and does what Quicksilver does in X-Men: Days of Future Past, shot in a purposefully unstylistic manner.
Directed by CS Amudhan, Tamizh Padam 2 is a big box office hit. In just 12 days, it has grossed over Rs 30 Cr (US$ 4.3 million) in Tamil Nadu alone. While there are no reports regarding the film’s production budget, one can safely assume that it’s made with roughly the same budget as the first movie, a mere Rs 3.5 Cr (US$ 500 000). Considering its small budget and lack of star power, it looks like we’ll definitely be getting more Tamizh Padam movies.
