Ever since her comeback, Jyothika has been very particular about the roles she picks. In 36 Vayadhinile she plays a 36-year-old on a journey of self-discovery and overcoming the struggles of living in a patriarchal society. In Magalir Mattum she plays a modern woman who takes three traditional aunties on a road trip, in which they rediscover that there’s more to life than just cooking, cleaning and serving the men at home. In Bala’s Naachiyaar on the other hand, she plays an aggressive cop.
Now, Jyothika is awaiting her next release, Kaatrin Mozhi, directed by Radha Mohan (Brindavanam, Uppu Karuvaadu). In an interesting marketing effort, the makers of the film have come up with commandments ala the Catholic 10 Commandments, to capture the spirit of the film. Check it out below:
