Hrithik Roshan posted a warm photo of him and his father, filmmaker Rakesh Roshan on Instagram that received over 800,000 likes. The two were scene posing with their arms crossed at a gym after a workout.
In the caption, Hrithik confirms that his father has been diagnosed with early stages of Squamous Cell Carcinoma of the throat and is set to undergo surgery on Tuesday.
The captioned read, “Asked my dad for a picture this morning. Knew he wouldnt miss gym on surgery day. He is probably the strongest man I know. Got diagnosed with early stage squamous cell carcinoma of the throat a few weeks ago, but he is in full spirits today as he proceeds to battle it. As a family we are fortunate and blessed to have a leader like him. .Love you Dad.”
Roshan Rakesh, who is an actor and director, has delivered many hit Bollywood movies such as Koi Mil Gaya, Kaho Naa Pyar Hai and the Krissh series. The post was followed by a flood of support and prayers by fellow industry friends and fans worldwide.
