Prabhu Deva Plays A Police Officer For The First Time

It is hard to guess what actor Prabhu Deva is trying to prove these days. The dancer turned actor turned director has returned to acting in Tamil films last year where he came up with three mediocre films. One was a comedy, another a horror flick and the last one was a dance musical. This year, his first release Charlie Chaplin 2 was unwatchable and performed poorly in the box office.

He is now back with a film from yet another genre, an action flick entitled Pon Manickavel. The actor plays a police officer for the first time. He is joined by Nivetha Pethuraj in this Mugil Chellapan directorial. D Imman has composed the music for the film.

Prabhu Deva is currently working on six other movies this year. They are Yung Mung Sung,
Thael, and Devi 2 in Tamil, as well as Hindi films Khamoshi and Street Dancer. He is also working on a Malayalam film, Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham.

Has Prabhu Deva lodged his fingers in one too many pies? 2019 will tell.
