Actor Nagarjuna’s production house, Annapurna Studios, has come up with a sexual harassment policy that is displayed in their premises. The list, which consists of dos and don’ts, covers verbal and non-verbal sexual harassment, as well as physical harassment.
Singer Chinmayi tweeted the poster, saying that she has never seen a poster like this displayed at any set, studio, channel office and TV show set in South India.
The poster even comes with the contact number of an ombudsman, an official who represents the interest of the public by investigating and addressing complaints of violation of rights.
Annapurna Studios is located in the heart of Hyderabad, spanning a massive 22 acres. They produce Telugu films and provide production and post-production facilities, including sound stages for set construction, outdoor sets, editing, dubbing and Digital Intermediate suites. The production house was set up in 1975 by Nagarjuna’s father, the late Nageswara Rao Akkineni.
