Every year, world-renowned wedding blog, Junebug Weddings, puts together a list called ‘The Best of The Best Wedding Photos’ to honour photographers from around the world who capture and eternalise the union of love. Hopeful photographers submit their best work every year in hopes of making it on this prestigious list.

This year, a Malaysian photographer named Vinoth Raj Pillai has made his way into the list of ‘Top 50 Engagement Photos In The World’. The photo that landed in this list shows a monochromatic still with silhouettes of a couple jumping in delight.

Vinoth shared the excitement on Instagram with a post captioned, “Best of the Best Engagement photos of 2019 – I’m still over the moon with this. To have my work be part of the top 50 engagement photos in the world is something I’ve dreamed of, and it’s now reality. Thank you @junebugweddings for this opportunity and thank you fellow judges, @ah_lovestories@wanderingwoo and @tintedphotography for not only picking my photo, but also for taking your time to scour through so many other brilliant images!

This is also a shout out to my ever amazing clients for trusting me to create my vision and for their patience. And to my loved ones, thank you for believing in me. Amma, now you can proudly tell everyone why I left my other career”.

In 2006, Vinoth picked up photography while he was pursuing a degree in engineering. Photography provided a great outlet for him to express and tell stories. After graduation, Vinoth was working a full time job and shooting events on the weekend. A few years ago, he finally mustered the courage to pursue a full time career in photography and the rest, as they say, is history. Vinoth is a destination wedding photographer who has travelled to places such as Iceland, Italy, India and New Zealand to create magic.

Congratulations on your achievement and thank you for showing us that dreams do come true!
