Malaysian Concert Organisers Woodmark Events Set Foot in Australia

Woodmark Events, the young Malaysian concert organisers who have made a name for themselves with their two sold out Sid Sriram concerts have now set foot in Australia. The team is organising two concerts on the island nation, Sid Sriram Live in Melbourne & Sydney 2020.

Woodmark Events’ Melbourne concert with Sid will be held at the Robert Blackwood Hall, Clayton, Melbourne on the 5th of September 2020, while the Sydney concert is scheduled for the next day at the Enmore Theatre, Newton.

This is a first for Malaysian Tamil concert organisers. Woodmark Events will be helming both Australian concerts without tying up with a local organiser. They are, however, open to non monetary collaborations from Australia in terms of media and marketing.

One of the partners of Woodmark Events, Jana, speaks to the Varnam team about their upcoming concert in the land down under. “This concert will be a little different from Sid Sriram Live in Penang,” he says. “The song lists will be updated, of course. In addition to that, there won’t be a standing crowd at both Australian concerts,” Jana revealed that the tickets to both concerts will be released next month.

In a time where Malaysian Tamil concerts are a dime a dozen, it is a breath of fresh air to see a homegrown company use a different strategy to grow their business. Spreading their wings to cover more of the world, instead of merely organising more concerts in Kuala Lumpur is pure genius.

The Varnam team wishes Woodmark Events the very best on their upcoming endeavour!
