Massive outbreaks of the deadly Covid-19 in the country has been very worrying, especially when the common hotspots for the virus is where members of the public commute to and from their various destinations using public transport such as trains!

KTM Berhad has come up with a wonderful and ingenious innovation by introducing the first ever temperature scanning helmet. This helmet will be worn by police officials patrolling railway stations and trains.

The news was announced by KTM Berhad through their official social media page and has been made effective from today.

By using the helmet, members of the Assistance Police (PB) who monitor the daily commute will recognise passengers via the advanced technology method. Hopefully, the approach introduced would improve passenger confidence in the usage of KTMB services during such nerve-wrecking challenging times like these.

In order to determine the effectiveness of the helmet, it would be worn on a trial basis by the PB members for the time being.

All the best KTM Berhad! A good initiative indeed!
