463 Areas In Selangor and Putrajaya Will Be Facing Water Disruption Again

It’s no more a surprise that in recent years, Selangor has had the most severe water supply problems in Malaysia. Get your buckets ready because water will be cut again!

On 16th December, Air Selangor announced around 463 areas in Selangor and Putrajaya will be experiencing unscheduled water supply disruptions due to odour pollution that was detected at Sungai Semenyih.

According to Air Selangor, the Sungai Semenyih water treatment facility had to shut down yesterday, impacting Sepang (194 areas), Petaling (172 areas), Hulu Langat (54 areas), Putrajaya (23) and Kuala Langat (20).

The Emergency Response Plan (ERP) has been activated by Air Selangor in order to give out emergency water supply to impacted residents.

About 81 water tankers will be dispatched to the affected areas and emergency locations to supply water.
