Legendary actor Kamal Haasan previously announced that he would be stepping away from hosting ‘Bigg Boss Tamil’ and would not be returning for season 8. It now appears that the show’s creators have brought in ‘Makkal Selvan’ Vijay Sethupathi to take over as the host.

Pink Villa reported, citing a statement by Suresh PRO, that Vijay Sethupathi will be taking on the role of host for this season. Rumours had been circulating about Vijay Sethupathi becoming the new host of Bigg Boss Tamil, and it now appears that these reports might have been confirmed.
The ‘Maharaja’ actor is well-known for his experience hosting shows on Sun TV, making him well-versed in the art of hosting. Given his established track record, Vijay Sethupathi would undoubtedly bring a fresh and valuable perspective to the ‘Bigg Boss’ family if he joins the show. However, fans will need to wait for an official announcement to confirm whether this news is true.
Kamal Haasan has been the host of ‘Bigg Boss Tamil’ for seven seasons since the show began. There were a few episodes where actor Silambarasan stepped in as the host when Kamal Haasan had prior commitments. However, this will be the first time that Kamal Haasan is taking a break for an entire season.
‘Bigg Boss Tamil’ Season 8 is anticipated to begin in October. The promo featuring the new host will be filmed soon by the makers of the show. We’ll have to wait and see who will take on the role of host for the upcoming season of ‘Bigg Boss’.
