The music for ‘Sardar’ was composed by GV Prakash. There had been rumors suggesting that Yuvan Shankar Raja would replace GV Prakash as the composer for the sequel, ‘Sardar 2.’ The film’s makers have now officially confirmed that Yuvan Shankar Raja will indeed be composing the music for the sequel. This decision was announced on August 31, which also happens to be Yuvan Shankar Raja’s birthday. The announcement included birthday wishes for the composer.

GV Prakash Kumar’s prior commitments may have led to his stepping down from composing for the sequel. He is currently working on numerous film projects as a composer and is also busy with his acting career.
‘Sardar 2’ will primarily explore the backstory from the prequel, ‘Sardar,’ and the makers have retained Rajisha Vijayan from the previous installment. Malavika Mohanan and Ashika Ranganath have joined the cast to enhance the film’s appeal. Audiences will need to stay tuned for further updates about the movie.
