Vijayalakchumi, who is serving as the Senior Assistant for Co-Curricular Affairs (Penolong Kanan Ko-Kurikulum) at Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan Tamil Batu Caves, is celebrated for her dedication to enhancing the educational experiences of Tamil students. Initially, the position was held by Sengguttan A/L Veeran, who retired, paving the way for Vijayalakchumi to take the role as the first Indian woman in the organization. Her new position will see her actively managing and coordinating language-related activities within schools across Selangor, aimed at improving language skills among students.

This historic appointment not only underscores Vijayalakchumi’s individual accomplishments but also serves as an inspiration for future generations, highlighting the importance of representation and leadership in the education sector. As she steps into her new role, she is poised to make a lasting impact on the Tamil language education in the state.
