GV Prakash Reunites with Director Selvaraghavan for an Exciting New Project

Composer-singer GV Prakash, who is juggling multiple projects, recently took to his social media to announce an exciting collaboration. He revealed that he will be joining forces once again with acclaimed director Selvaraghavan for an upcoming film.

GV Prakash took to his social media accounts to announce, “After ‘Aayirathil Oruvan’ and ‘Mayakkam Enna’… A new beginning… A new journey starts today.” While he didn’t reveal the film’s title, he did confirm in a comment that it is for “a new script and a new project.”

GV Prakash and director Selvaraghavan had earlier worked together on ‘Aayirathil Oruvan’ (2010), featuring Karthi in the lead role, and Dhanush’s ‘Mayakkam Enna’ (2011). In addition to composing, GV Prakash lent his vocals to a song in each of these films.

GV Prakash’s most recent work as a composer was for Vikram’s film ‘Thangalaan’, directed by Pa Ranjith. Looking ahead, he has an extensive lineup of projects, including ‘Emergency’ starring Kangana Ranaut, ‘Lucky Baskhar’ with Dulquer Salmaan, and Akshay Kumar’s ‘Sky Force’. In the Tamil film industry, he is composing for several upcoming films, such as Sivakarthikeyan’s ‘Amaran’, Dhanush’s ‘Nilavuku En Mel Ennadi Kobam’, Arun Vijay’s ‘Vanangaan’, and Vikram’s ‘Veera Dheera Sooran’, among others.

On the acting front, GV Prakash’s most recent appearance was in ‘Dear’, directed by Anand Ravichandran. He also has several upcoming films in the works, including ‘Idimuzhakkam’, ’13’, and ‘Kingston’. Selvaraghavan’s most recent directorial work was ‘Naane Varuvean’ (2022), featuring Dhanush in the lead role. He was also recently seen acting in ‘Raayan’, which was directed by Dhanush, who played the lead as well.
