Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB) provides two additional Electric Train Services (ETS) for the KL Sentral to Padang Besar route, along with return trips, to accommodate travelers during the Deepavali celebrations.
In a statement, KTMB announced that the additional train services will run for five days, from October 30 to November 3. Ticket sales began yesterday. These extra trains will provide 630 tickets per day, amounting to a total of 3,150 tickets available, including business class coaches.
The statement indicated that the additional train services are intended to meet the increased demand during the festive season and alleviate traffic congestion for travelers returning to their hometowns. This initiative by KTMB reflects their commitment to providing efficient transportation solutions during peak travel times, ensuring that passengers can enjoy a smoother journey as they celebrate Deepavali with their families.
KTMB encourages the public to buy tickets via the KTMB Mobile app (KITS) or their official website, and to utilize the KTM Wallet for a quicker purchasing experience. Customers are advised to plan their trips in advance and purchase tickets early to benefit from more economical and flexible fares, while also avoiding the hassle of last-minute purchases.
