On Saturday, renowned actor Silambarasan TR, who was last seen in ‘Pathu Thala’, caused a sensation online with an exciting update about his next film. He revealed that the new project will be a blend of his popular 2000s films ‘Dum’, ‘Manmadhan’, and ‘Vallavan’, infused with a fresh Gen Z twist. The actor’s tweet quickly gained traction, amassing over 300,000 views within just an hour of being posted.

Yesterday, the actor shared in a tweet that the official announcement for the film will be made today at 6:06pm IST (7:36pm MYT). “Dei 2k kids , 90’s mood la nalaiku sharp ah 6.06 pm ku varen,” his tweet read.

While there is no official confirmation on the timeline of the film’s production, rumours are circulating that the project he hinted at will be his 50th feature film, with STR himself set to direct.

A few months ago, it was revealed that STR had finished dubbing for his role in ‘Thug Life’, a Kamal Haasan film, where he reunites with director Mani Ratnam following their work on ‘Chekka Chivantha Vaanam’. Although his next project with Desingh Periasamy has been delayed due to production setbacks, STR is reportedly in talks to collaborate with directors Jude Anthony Joseph and Ashwath Marimuthu for his upcoming films. Fans will need to stay tuned for more updates.
