The Budimas Charitable Foundation hosted its 6th annual Night of a Thousand Blessings gala, a black-tie fundraising event dedicated to supporting underprivileged and Orang Asli children in Malaysia. Held at the Pullman Hotel KLCC in Kuala Lumpur, the event welcomed over 400 attendees, including supporters, business partners, and community members. With a remarkable contribution of RM400,000, the gala marked a significant step toward creating a robust platform to uplift impoverished children across the nation.

The Guest of Honor for the event was Y.M. Tunku Dato’ Yaacob Khyra, Chairman of The Budimas Charitable Foundation. The occasion was also graced by the presence of the Budimas Board of Trustees, Board of Governors, business sponsors, media representatives, and children who have benefited from this impactful initiative.

“We are gathered here tonight not only to celebrate but to remind ourselves of the responsibility we bear towards the most vulnerable members of our society. With every ringgit raised, we give hope, stability, and a brighter future to children who deserve the chance to thrive,” Tunku Dato’ Yaacob Khyra shared in his heartfelt opening speech.

The Budimas Charitable Foundation expresses its heartfelt appreciation to the event’s key sponsors, including Sunway Medical Centre, Farm Fresh Malaysia, United U-Li, Hasani Group of Companies, Gleneagles Hospital Kuala Lumpur, MAA Group, and Mydin Mohamed Holdings. Their unwavering support and collaboration enable the foundation to extend its reach to more children across Malaysia. Every contribution, big or small, from these dedicated partners plays a vital role in transforming the lives of these children.

The Budimas Charitable Foundation’s Impactful Initiatives

Since its establishment, The Budimas Charitable Foundation has been committed to improving the lives of underprivileged children by channeling funds into various impactful programs.

Budimas Home Charity Fund (BHCF)

The Budimas Home Charity Fund (BHCF) supports over 50 children’s homes across Malaysia, offering a safe and caring environment to more than 2,000 children who have been displaced or abandoned.

Budimas Food Charity Fund (BFCF)

The Budimas Food Charity Fund (BFCF) focuses on providing daily meals to children in need, currently benefiting over 5,000 students across 160 schools, including recent expansions in Sabah. The foundation aims to extend this program to support an additional 1,000 children in the coming year.

Budimas Education Charity Fund (BECF)

The Budimas Education Charity Fund (BECF) has set up 12 libraries in Orang Asli communities since 2015, providing access to over 6,000 books and digital resources. The foundation plans to construct 12 more libraries in 2025, further enriching educational opportunities for indigenous children.

In 2024, the foundation also launched two new programs, expanding its commitment to holistic child development:

Budimas Children Medical Care Fund (BCMCF)

The Budimas Children Medical Care Fund (BCMCF) partners with Gleneagles Kuala Lumpur and other institutions to provide life-saving surgeries and vital care for children facing critical illnesses, ensuring they receive the medical support they need.

Budimas Performing Arts Fund (BPAF)

The Budimas Performing Arts Fund (BPAF) promotes self-expression and confidence in children by immersing them in the arts, including music, dance, and traditional performances, while also preserving cultural heritage.

The Night of a Thousand Blessings was a memorable evening filled with inspiring speeches and captivating performances, including a choir from the Budimas Orion Home, traditional Gendang music, and dance displays, all complemented by lively live music that enriched the event’s atmosphere. The dinner also featured a silent auction, where attendees generously placed bids on unique items to support and further Budimas’ mission.

Ms. Anne Rajasaikaran, Principal Officer of Budimas, spoke with great passion about the foundation’s achievements: “With the steadfast support of our donors and partners, we are able to assist over 10,000 children annually through our programs. However, our mission continues, and every contribution brings us closer to ensuring that no child in Malaysia is deprived of hope.”

Support the important mission of the Budimas Charitable Foundation by getting involved as an individual, business, or community. For more information on how to partner or donate, visit www.budimas.org or contact 03-12345678.

The Night of a Thousand Blessings showcases the profound impact that collective acts of kindness can have. “Together, we can be the change that transforms lives,” said Ms. Anne Rajasaikaran. “Tonight is a celebration of generosity and a commitment to building a brighter future for all children.”
